Georgian and Russian Food in Greater VANCOUVER, Coquitlam
Our Catering Service YUMICO
offers a variety of choices of all-around-the-world meals.
On our menu for kids you may have hotdogs,
hamburgers cooked on a grill, home-made
pizza, etc.
We also serve Shashlyk or Souvlaki on skewers
in Coquitlam, Greater Vancouver: Georgian style in our unique marinade.
Well, it's not that unique actually. It is just classic, how they do
it in the best restaurants in Tbilisi, and Batumi. We serve shashlyk
and souvlaki with tkemali sause, adjika. Also we cook other Georgian
food like chakhohbili, khachapuri, lobio, etc.
Catering Service YUMICO
and Zia's Deli & Cafe offers a variety of shashlyk: pork,
lamb, beef, chicken, & veggies.
We do SHASHLYK (souvlaki) parties for a group of people
starting from ten. Price per one person is $
24.99. It includes a salad or antipasto, a side
dish like roasted potatoes or the like, and a variety of 3-4 sauces
to go with our shashlyk (adjika, tkemali,
etc.). Please get in touch with us to make a reservation and to discuss
details. However, you'll have to pay extra for all refreshments and
drinks from the fridge (pops, juices, water, kvas). One
serving/skewer of shashlyk is 350 grams.
It was a very interesting experience to make a shashlyk under the heavy
rain in March (see the picture).
Now our shashlyk/souvlaki is available in
Frozen Form!

hey
say that the owners although they've got Italian ancestors had lived in
Georgia on Black Sea for a long time. Actually they were born there. So
that's why they learned to cook Georgian food. They also can speak some
of the Russian and the Georgian language. Their cafe is heard to carry
a number of Georgian dishes like stuffed eggplants with walnuts, garlic,
and parsley pesto, or home-made peppers with feta. Also they carry stuff
like Georgian bread baguette, cheese pie called hachapuri, and
home-made sausages. The owner makes smoked meat, ribs,
and they are so yami! Yet their main feature is shashlyk or souvlaki on
skewers. Just see pics on the left.
